Proring is a well-established company with a long history in manufacturing and retail, offering a wide range of products including tyres and Thule brand equipment. Our focus was on improving their retail operations through a powerful and highly custom e-commerce setup. Proring needed a solution capable of handling a vast inventory with real-time stock updates.
With around 13,000 products, multiple stock sources, and thousands of variants, creating the right filtering and stock management experience was the central challenge. We developed a robust and fully custom WooCommerce site with advanced API integration, syncing product data and stock levels every 10 minutes from an external warehouse system.
This included handling two separate stock sources — warehouse and local store inventory — merged and displayed smoothly to the customer.
The core technical challenge was building a reliable bridge between two separate inventory sources and a fast, accurate customer-facing store. We developed a custom API integration that pulls product data and updates stock levels at 10-minute intervals, with transformation logic to clean and normalise the incoming data.
A dual-stock system was built to merge warehouse and local store inventory into a single unified availability display — customers see accurate, real-time stock without knowing it comes from multiple sources. Intelligent multi-level filtering was built starting from the homepage, dynamically routing customers to the right category and product pages.
Automatic product sorting by availability ensures in-stock items always appear first. Custom backend tools were built so the Proring team can manage stock and product data without developer involvement. Full SEO optimisation was applied throughout.
